Commercial Air Duct Cleaning

Sick Building Syndrome is a real problem. In commercial settings where the system is constantly used, the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) system is frequently cited as a key contributor. According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, people in buildings where the ducts have never been cleaned are 60% more likely to develop respiratory ailments.

Clean ducts can help ensure a sufficient supply of clean, fresh air. Proper duct cleaning can help increase efficiency and equipment life. Clean ducts and can also help keep furnishings, carpets and fabrics stay clean longer. Employees often experience fewer illnesses and respiratory problems, which increases performance and lowers absenteeism.

Air duct cleaning is unregulated in Colorado and Wyoming; there are no requirements on licensing or certification. The most effective way to clean air ducts is to use source removal, push-pull methods of cleaning, as defined by NADCA ACR 2006 Standards.

There are many different types and configurations of ductwork: lined, flex duct, fiberboard, concrete slab, etc., all of which require different equipment and cleaning methods. We are fully equipped and experienced to clean all types.

In addition to an ASCS (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist) certification, Doc also has a CVI (Certified Ventilation Inspector) certification to assess building air quality as it relates to the ductwork.

We work closely with many HVAC contractors, builders and restoration companies. Duct cleaning is our specialty.

NADCA also has several publications concerning proper commercial duct cleaning and inspections.
